Only Two Letters

I love my mother dearly, but she has been known to say some silly things on occasion, usually by messing up words.

A few days ago, she was telling me about how she and my dad are trying to get their old slide pictures into digital format. She was explaining things they had tried, and then she said, “so we even went and looked at iPods, thinking if we could use that to get the picture better…” and I’m thinking, 'wow, my parents are getting really hip, looking at photo iPods.'

But my dad quickly corrected her, “Not iPods. Tripods.”

I start cracking up, but Mom is such a great sport about it, that she says, “iPod, tripod. It’s only two letters difference.”

Sure, Mom, they’re practically the same thing.
